Why Collaborative Law?

Separation and divorce is a stressful and costly time, especially where there are children or complex financial situations such as a business involved.

We recognise how difficult the process is for everyone. This is why Tony Roe was at the forefront of pioneering a new approach to matrimonial disputes that aims to resolve matters more quickly and leave you in control of the process. It can also reduce the costs incurred.

What is Collaborative Law?

"Collaborative Law", as it is known, began more than ten years ago in North America but only reached this country in 2004. In the collaborative process the couple, each represented by specially trained lawyers, agree in writing to reach a settlement without court involvement and to work together, in a series of face-to-face meetings, to resolve children and financial matters resulting from their separation. Other experts can be brought in along the way as necessary.
