Law network launched. Theale-based Tony Roe Solicitors has launched a national network of niche family law firms.

Theale-based Tony Roe Solicitors has launched a national network of niche family law firms. The five firms, under the banner, “D5 – Excellence in Family Law’, have 35 specialist lawyers up and down the country and will share knowledge, expertise and training resources.
The lawyers launched the national network at their inaugural training conference at The City Inn, Birmingham, earlier this month.
The event was opened by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Michael Wilkes, who noted that family law clients required high standards of service when faced with the most difficult times of their lives, especially in the current economic climate.
The delegates heard from leading barristers, posed questions to judges and got tips on practice management.
Tony Roe, name principal of Tony Roe Solicitors said: “Our firms’ specialist family law teams share similar aims and objectives and want to promote excellence in family law amongst our staff and for our clients. As D5, we can work together to combine expertise and learn from each other. The D5 network ensures that high quality family law expertise is available throughout the country”.
The firms are: Benussi & Co, (Birmingham), Diane Genders Ltd, (Lincoln/Nottingham), Family Law Associates LLP, (London), Jones Myers LLP (Leeds), and Tony Roe Solicitors.

Tony Roe, was invited to speak by the Law Society at a national event last month. The two-day event, run in conjunction with the Association of Women Solicitors was for solicitors returning to the profession after a career break. It included an analysis of the current job market and sessions on the challenges of returning to the work place, legal and professional developments and career options plus CV and interview workshops.
Tony Roe, who set up his own Theale-based niche family law firm almost exactly two years ago, gave tips on setting up a practice. He said: “The challenges facing professionals, whether solicitors or otherwise, after a career break are considerable, especially in this current climate. Some of the delegates at this event, had been away from the profession for 10 years. The atmosphere was buzzing with positive energy.”
